

Preparation of extended abstracts
A Conference proceedings book will be published after the International Conference on the Biogeochemistry of Trace Elements in Florence, Italy (July 3-7, 2011), and available on request.
Note: Every registered participant can submit maximum three extended abstracts. The deadline for submitting extended abstract is November 30th , 2010. This deadline will not be extended.
All authors will be notified of acceptance/rejection of their abstract by 15 February 2011.
Note that acceptance of your abstract and invitation to present at the meeting does not include a free registration nor any other financial compensation.
ALL contacting Authors for oral and poster presentation must complete the registration by 15th March 2011.
ACCEPTED ABSTRACTS FROM CONTACTING AUTHORS NOT HAVING COMPLETED THE REGISTRATION BY MARCH 15th 2011 WILL BE CANCELLED BY THE SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME AND WILL BE NOT INCLUDED IN THE 11TH ICOBTE PROCEEDINGS.
Please carefully follow the instructions below when preparing your extended abstract.
Extended Abstract
Extended abstract must not exceed 2 pages including references, tables and illustrations.
Extended abstract should be typed in single space and margins 3cm. The first part (from title to abstract) should be typewritten in one column, and other parts in two columns. The used font must be the Times New Roman Size: 14pt and bold for title and centralized for the title, and 9pt for the text, footnotes and legends.
The manuscript should be divided into the following sections: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions and References.
Extended abstract should be written in Standard English. Participants from non-English speaking countries are asked to have their manuscripts corrected by native English speakers.
Authors
Please just give initials and name(s) of the author(s), without titles such as Prof., Dr., Mrs.
The name of the author who is to attend the congress, should be underlined. Also include the name(s) and address(es) of the institution(s) where the work was carried out, followed by the contact details of the author to whom correspondence should be sent (address, telephone, fax, and e-mail).
Abstract
The Abstract should contain the aim of the research, the main findings of the research project and a brief conclusion.
Keywords
Maximum six keywords in alphabetical order, and separated by commas, should be put before the Abstract.
Illustrations, photographs and tables
References citation
Citations in the text should be made in alphabetical order by mentioning author and year; in the case of two authors, both should be mentioned, for example: (García and López, 2006) or García and López (2006). If several papers by the same author in the same year are cited, they should be lettered in sequence (2000 a, b), etc. Papers by more than two authors should be cited as: (López et al, 2006). Do not use in list or text: unpublished results or in preparation. In the list, references must be placed in alphabetical order without serial numbering. Please follow the style shown below:

Abstracts not prepared in accordance with the provided guidelines will not be considered for the review process.

Procedure:

2) choose the type of presentation (oral/poster)
3) choose the symposium for which you are submitting the abstract
4) upload the abstract
5) reception of an abstract aknowledgement message.
